"That's so Missoula..."
Okay, was reading the Missoulian and stumbled across this column. For what it's worth, this sums up the town I went to college in,
"Missoula is a wise woman who's a grease jockey with an organic garden and Levi's torn out at the knees. Missoula is a town that never grows weary of bitching at itself; that greets you with a growler and a football ticket; that appreciates art, even if it's above the bar next to the shake-a-day; that parties hard and cures its hangovers with herbal tea; that rolls on two tires and a fifth wheel down schizophrenic streets leading nowhere; that's infuriatingly narcissistic and self-important; that's a pinko smear in a state that runs a mean blue streak; that gouges your wallet and beds you on hand-me-down couches; that reeks of patchouli, pine needles and perfume; that has very little but gives a whole lot; that simultaneously belittles the working class and rails against the cultural elite; that has more garage sales than the West Coast; that can't figure out where the hell it's going; that thinks it's trendy but missed the latest trend; that drives itself crazy and drives without turn signals; that has Seattle envy; that has New York envy; that looks at itself in the mirror and sees 100,000 confused faces staring back."
